How to build a hidden lava entrance

Always looking for ways to hide my cake, I have built a new secret entrance, and I will share it with you. As long as you stay away from my cake! The secret entrance is well hidden and probably not going to be found, who's foolish enough to jump into a stream of lava!?

Nothing suspicious about this...

To start off, you need to dig a hole, as deep as you want. Then you should add a ladder up one of the sides all the way up to the second to top block. Never put the ladder on the top block or you will have a massive lava mess later that you'll have to sort out somehow. Many foolish pigs were cooked alive this way.

Add ladder up to the second to top block
Now you need to build a wall next to your hole with a piston on top, a normal piston, a sticky piston could mess things up with it's stickyness.
Wire the piston up to a lever, or whatever device you want to activate the entrance with.

Create a sort of well, one block above the piston. This is so the lava remains in a one block column, and not all over the room.

Now all you need to do is pour some lava in the top.

Activating the piston will block the lava flow revealing your secret entrance, and deactivating it will hide it again. Don't worry about when the piston is retracted, your secret room will not be filled with lava as ladders stop the lava flow (Another one of the mysteries of Minecraft).
